The Department of Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering is one of the new departments opened under the College of Engineering and Technology in 2014 E.C. to produce qualified and competent water resources engineering manpower in the country. It started its teaching and learning activities with 6 lecturers and 1 senior technical assistant. It admitted 20 students for the first time in 2015, and currently there are two batches of students. In addition to its teaching and learning activities, since 2015 it has been focusing on research, community service, and technology transfer that solves the problems of society.
Quality education and training supported by science and appropriate technology and led by competent leadership, providing education to all in an equitable manner, developing the individual's mental, physical, social, emotional and positive values, producing globally competitive graduates who respond to the current conditions of our country, conducting research that solves problems, transferring technologies, and providing community services based on the needs of the community.
