Director's Message

It is my great pleasure to extend my warmest greetings to all members of our academic, clinical, and external communities. As the Corporate Director of Research and Community Service, I firmly believe that research and community engagement are fundamental pillars for advancing knowledge, solving societal challenges, and driving sustainable development of our country.

Our office is committed to promoting a vibrant research culture by encouraging innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based inquiry across all departments the college. We strive to support our researchers in generating impactful findings that contribute to national health problems. Equally, our community service programs aim to bridge the gap between academia and society by translating research into practice, fostering partnerships, and empowering communities through knowledge and action to present their health.

We continue to uphold the values of academic integrity, research ethics, inclusiveness, and relevance in research conducting. We also build the research capacity of our academic and clinical staff to engage them in problem solving research. We effectively communicate both research and community service output through scientific communication. Our journal, Horn African Journal of Health and Biomedical Sciences is a platform for scientific debate for our researchers and global scientific community. I invite all staff, students, and partners to actively participate in our research and outreach efforts as we work together to transform lives and build resilient health system.
