Background of Community Service, Technology Transfer and University-Industry Linkage Directorate

Welcome to the Community Service, Technology Transfer, and University-Industry Linkage Directorate of Salale University. Since our establishment in 2016, under the framework of the Higher Education Proclamation No. 650/2009, we have been committed to bridging the gap between academia and society. Our mission is to drive inclusive and sustainable development through community development projects, effective technology dissemination, and strategic industry collaboration. Guided by our core values: quality, innovation, team spirit, good governance, professionalism, and inclusiveness. We have been working to ensure that our academic expertise translates into tangible benefits for the communities we serve.

Our initiatives span a broad spectrum from supporting agricultural transformation through irrigated wheat production, vermicomposting, and dairy cattle breed improvement, to advancing education and innovation through the STEM Center and special schools. We are also equally dedicated to health outreach, environmental conservation, free legal aid, cultural preservation, and tourism promotion. Each of these programs reflects our holistic approach to community engagement and development. We are focusing on strengthening partnerships, enhancing impact, and contributing meaningfully to Ethiopia’s national development goals. Therefore; we warmly welcome collaboration with all stakeholders in realizing the shared vision.
