Brief Message of Freshman Program Director

The Freshman Program was created in response to Ethiopia's education policy, which mandates that freshmen begin their university journey with a preparatory program. The Freshman Program Director oversees all operational aspects, including conducting orientation sessions, introducing students to university services, emphasizing the importance of student responsibility within the university community, and managing academic advising and scheduling.


Vision
  • To contribute to Salale University's goal of becoming one of the leading comprehensive universities by 2030, by making it a nationally and internationally recognized institution sought by freshmen for its high-quality education and services.

Mission
  • To equip freshman students with the essential skills and competencies needed to succeed at the undergraduate level and continue their academic journey with confidence.
  • Build the Salale University Legal Services Executive Office with highly skilled and dedicated legal experts.
  • Prevent illegal and corrupt practices by closely monitoring the daily activities of the university's various departments.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Legal Services Executive Office
  • Orientation and Transition Support: Organize and conduct orientation sessions to help new freshman students transition smoothly into university life, introducing them to university services, policies, and resources.
  • Academic Advising and Guidance: Provide academic advising to freshmen, helping them understand their academic responsibilities and assisting with course selection and scheduling.
  • Student Development and Engagement:Promote student engagement by encouraging freshmen to take an active role in university activities, fostering a sense of community and responsibility within the campus.
  • Monitoring Student ProgressMonitor the academic and social progress of freshman students, identifying and addressing any challenges or difficulties they may encounter during their first year.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other university departments to ensure freshmen receive the support they need, including academic, emotional, and social assistance, to ensure their overall success.
