Background of Executive of Strategic Affairs

The Strategic Affairs Executive is accountable to the president and also has functional relationship with the vice presidents, college deans, office directors and other executives. It is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of an organization's short and long-term strategic plans, that include tasks like analyzing trends and data, identifying potential risks and opportunities, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, monitoring and evaluating progress, and ensuring alignment with the overall organizational goals across different functional units.

  • To guide and support the institution in achieving its long-term goals by coordinating strategic initiatives, aligning plans across departments, and ensuring impactful decision-making through data-driven analysis and inclusive engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities of Executive for Strategic Affairs
  • Developing comprehensive strategic long term, medium and short term physical and budget plan, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and action plans.
  • Facilitating strategic planning sessions to define organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on a range of strategic matters, including resource allocation, partnership development, and policy formulation
  • Tracking progress on strategic initiatives against established plan KPIs.
  • conducting regular reviews and evaluations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement
  • Identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Coordinating strategic initiatives across different departments and functions within the organization.
  • Ensuring alignment between college, directors and Executive plans and the overall strategic direction.
  • Communicating strategic plans and updates to stakeholders effectively.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports on key strategic insights and recommendations.
